ArcLight Capital Partners (“ArcLight”), one of the world’s leading energy investment firms, today announced the closing of ArcLight Energy Partners Fund III, L.P. (“Fund III”).  ArcLight closed the Fund in excess of its $2.0 billion target securing commitments from over 90 limited partners in less than three months.  The firm has now raised $4.6 billion in three funds since its inception in 2001.

ArcLight plans to continue to employ its proven, asset-based approach to energy investing making investments throughout the energy value chain including oil, gas, and coal resources and infrastructure; power generation; and electric and gas transmission and distribution.  ArcLight has made over 50 such investments in its prior two funds totaling over $2.5 billion.
