Philip A. Messina

Principal

  Mr. Messina joined ArcLight in 2007 and has 27 years of experience in the energy sector including debt and private equity, project development, and utility operations experience. Prior to joining ArcLight, he was a Managing Director in the Corporate Finance Group at John Hancock, where he focused on analyzing, structuring, and closing private debt and equity investments in the energy industry. Mr. Messina also led Hancock’s debt restructuring activity for the Project Finance team. From 1994 to 2002, Mr. Messina was the Chief Investment Officer for Energy Investors Funds Group (“EIF”). Prior to EIF, Mr. Messina held various positions at Shawmut Bank in the Project Finance Group and was a Project Engineer for Commonwealth Energy Systems. Mr. Messina earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Tufts University and a Master of Business Administration from Boston University.
